Firebird Classic 1.5

Running code to update index stats:

SET STATISTICS INDEX INDEX_NAME

When the logged in user doesn't have admin rights
my odbc driver (the standard Phoenix one) gives the
permission denied message, but it looks the stats
are updated in any case.
Is this a known behaviour?
Is there anything to worry about?
